Ignis Asset Management is the principal club sponsor in a three-year deal with Middlesex County Cricket Club.
As principal sponsor, Ignis Asset Management will work closely with Middlesex, the current Twenty20 champions, on a number of initiatives. Key among these will be Ignis’s support of Middlesex’s efforts to promote grass roots cricket in local schools and communities.
Ignis Asset Management believes the partnership with Middlesex, which runs from 2009 to 2011, will be highly beneficial to both parties as they seek to achieve their respective goals over the coming years.
The deal will provide Middlesex with long-term financial stability as it strives to consolidate its position as the leading club in county cricket, while Ignis aims to establish itself as one of the UK’s leading names in the investment management industry.
As part of the deal, the Ignis Asset Management logo will adorn the Middlesex players’ strips for the club’s Twenty20, one-day and long-form matches. Ignis Asset Management branding will also appear around Lord’s Cricket Ground, Middlesex’s historic home, ahead of an eagerly anticipated season for English county and international cricket.
Jonathan Polin, director, Ignis Asset Management, says:
“Ignis has significant growth plans at a time when many of our competitors are scaling back. Our sponsorship of Middlesex is a significant step towards establishing Ignis as one of the investment industry’s leading names..."
